your holiday home
we restored an old farmhouse overlooking the rolling hills of the Alta Langa, and—on clear days— it almost feels like you can touch the nearby Alps. Rooted in its landscape and shaped by the LoPiano Project, the house blends refined contemporary comfort with the warmth of rustic heritage.
Here, nature sets the rhythm: forest paths, orchards, quiet mornings, long evenings, and the richness of Piedmont’s wine and gastronomy.
We welcome guests who value authenticity over cosmopolitan sparkle; people who enjoy the small things: morning light on the hills, local flavors, silence, and space.
Staying here is not an about escape-holiday. It’s about arriving somewhere real.

Dimora Lucian offers a warm, minimalist atmosphere built from Pietra di Langa stone, raw steel, wood, and concrete—materials that give the house both texture and tranquility.
It sleeps 4-6 guests in two spacious double bedrooms, each featuring a king-size bed, an ensuite bathroom, and a private toilet.
The living space can be transformed into an additional sleeping area if needed.
Light, air, and simplicity define the interior.
The stunning panoramic views become part of the architecture.
There's a good chance you'll encounter one of our neighbors from the borgata or the village. Here, people continue the lovely tradition of greeting both locals and strangers with a warm buongiorno, often welcoming a friendly chat :)

ai fuori
The outdoor area remains a work in progress, transforming from an old farmer's field into a beautifully designed landscape garden that harmonizes with the surrounding environment. Currently, it serves as a glimpse into the past, where wildflowers, herbs, and grasses flourish, attracting a variety of thriving insects. Gradually, it will evolve into a scenery designed for relaxing moments enjoyed outside, featuring private, terraces that provide both shade and sunlight, outside cooking, a mini-forest, along with ample parking space. Additionally, a swimming pool is included in the project plans.
Your home is surrounded by nature, offering a serene garden to immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the outdoors.

about us
the Lopiano Project
Restoration & Heritage in Borgata LoPiano
The LoPiano Project began in 2023, when we, Ludo & Floortje, originally from Maastricht, found a quiet farmhouse in the tiny hamlet of Borgata LoPiano.
What started as a renovation soon became a philosophy: restoring the house and its land with respect for the generations before and after us.
Borgata LoPiano was once a place buzzing with everyday farm life.
Around 30 people lived here. Life was dictated by the seasons, the weather, and the constant dialogue with the land. A dialogue of hard, physical work, resilience, and endurance.
Over time, as the pace of life changed, the village gradually fell silent.
The fields once tilled by hand were slowly reclaimed by nature.
Today, the result is a quiet landscape of lush forests, rolling hills, and hidden valleys. What was once a place of labour has become a place to breathe, observe, and enjoy the timeless beauty, where visitors can immerse themselves in the tranquility that now defines Borgata LoPiano.
Come stay in LoPiano. You're in good hands.

Patienza
The LoPiano Project is long-term commitment and is deeply rooted in respect: for the architecture, the craft traditions, and the natural surroundings of the home.
In recent years, we have dedicated our efforts to the restoration of the farmhouse -Dimora Lucian-. It is now prepared to host guests for a memorable holiday experience.
Our next focus will be enhancing the surrounding landscape.
It will take time, but there's no rush. We move in harmony with the environment and its people.
Each stone, beam, and landscape choice is part of a legacy for current and future generations.

You can easily reach us by car, enjoying a beautiful drive through the scenic Piedmont landscapes. If you prefer to fly, the international airports of Turin, Milan, and Genoa are all within comfortable travel distance. Traveling by train is also possible: the nearest railway station is in Ceva, offering convenient connections to the region.
